Communication Services and Information Technology were the top two performing sectors. The two worst-performing sectors were Consumer Staples and Real Estate, but both posted modest gains for the year.

International stocks had outperformed the US stock market after a decade of underperforming.

It was also a good year for bond investors, with the S&P US Aggregate bond up 7.20% as rate cuts pushed bond prices higher.

Precious metals ended the year up about 69%. Meanwhile, Bitcoin finished the year down about 6%.
